Easy Jalapeño Poppers
I absolutely love spicy food. Jalapeños are not easy to eat as is, but once prepped as poppers, I can eat a bucket full. I recently developed this full proof, oven cooked, recipe, that will make these appetizers the star of your meal. Prep time is 15 minutes, cook time is additional 15 minutes.
Ingredients needed:
4 large Jalapeños
Cream Cheese
Cheddar Cheese
8 Large Bacon Strips
Seasoning to taste
Optional: Spoon of Brown Sugar or Maple Sirup
First step is to slice the 4 Jalapeños across in order to get 8 1/2 Jalapeño boats
Next, Remove the seeds from the Jalapeños
Next, place some cheddar in the jalapeño
Next, add cream cheese to the jalapeño
Next, season to your liking
Next, add more cheese, because why not?
Next, we wrap the jalapeños with bacon
Next, we add tooth pics to secure the bacon, and place on a backing sheet. Now is the time to sprinkle brown sugar on top of bacon, or brush with maple sirup.
Cook in preheated oven of 200C/400F for 15 minutes, then I like to place on the grill for a couple of minutes to ge that wood taste!
You can now enjoy your Jalapeño Poppers!
Let me know if you like it!
