Falafel Recipe


After so many requests for the recipe on Instagram, I made this Recipe Post for everyone to follow.

Bests falafel tips I can give you:

1. Soak your chick peas in ice clod water for 12-24 hours, it will make the masa bond better.

2. Steam your pita bread, which will make it fluffy and elastic.

3. Don't skimp on Curcumin in your falafel masa.

4. Don't skimp on tahini in your falafel pita.

Ingredients for the falafel balls:

500g dry chick pies - soaked in ice cold water overnight

100g Fresh Parsley (1 pack)

100g Fresh Coriander (1 pack)

1 spoon Salt

1 spoon Cumin

1 spoon Paprika

1 spoon Curcumin

Pitta Bread's for filling (Steam 3 minutes for fluffy pitta)

Toppings ingredients:

Hummus Spread

Tahini Spread

Diced Tomatoes

French Fries

Harissa (chilly and oil spread)

Amba Spread (Pickled Mango)

Fresh Parsley

Chopped Onions

Pickles

For frying:

1 bottle of deep frying canola/soy oil

Preparation:

Place all the falafel ingredients in a food processor and puree and place in refrigerator

Warm oil to frying temperature

Use two spoons to make little balls and throw in the deep oil for 5 minutes until brown on both sides

Fill your pita with freshly fried falafel balls, your favorite toppings and enjoy!
