Chicken in an Oven Bag
I cooked this week a delicious 5 minutes prep, 1.5 hour to cook, refreshing recipe using two ingredients and a few condiments.

Ingredients:
- Chicken
- Barley - Can exchange for Rice or Wheat
- Water - 2 portions of water, for every portion of Barley
- Spices at least one spoon of each: Cinnamon (thank see later), Black Pepper, Paprika, Nutmeg (makes a difference), Favourite Seasoning (I used Slap Ya Mama) and Sugar (no
In short, you throw everything into the Oven Bag and cook it at 180c/360f for 1.5 to 2 hours. Depending how brown and crunchy you like your barley.
Here is a step by step:
Wash Chicken well to remove any skin bacteria

Place condiments in a bowl so you can easily measure and pour later.

Measure your barley (or rice), remember you need 2 units of water for every unit of barley.

Place Chicken in bag first.

Add the barley next.

Throw in the condiments

Add the water to the bag

Tie one end and place in oven at 180c/360f

This is what it look like after one hour. You can pinch a whole if it didn't pop yet.

Finished and ready to serve. You can see some barley is toasted, and some less. I left it in the oven for 1.5 hours.

Ready to eat!
