Pig's in a Blanket


This recipe is based on the Pizza Dough Base from my Pizza Blog Post. So head on there, and make the dough quickly, no need for rising time, as it is thin dough in the oven, and will rise as needed.

Ingredients needed:

Sausages - your favourite, or make homemade. I used Beef Spicy Sausages in this recipe.

Cheese - American Cheese and Cheddar are my favourite

Mustard - Honey Mustard is great.

Sriracha - If you want it spicy

Egg and Sesame to dress the pastry.

At first, roll out the dough to an oval long shape enough to fit loosely your sausage and cheese.

Place the sausage inside in a single column.

Add you favourite cheese, and as much as you like

Add Mustard on top, and if you like spicy you can add Sriracha Sauce.

Roll over from one side of the dough

Roll over the other side of the dough on top of the other. You can use a little wet brush to sear between the layers.

Use a sharp knife to cut through the dough to your desired length.

Place on a baking sheet on a pan

Paint with egg and sprinkle sesame and salt

Bake in Preheated oven of 360f/180c for approximately 15 minutes, or until golden crunchy brown like the below.
